My name is Jessie Weahkee, and in 2022, I decided to produce all digital art under the moniker Sleepyrock, paying homage to my father's clan, Tsé Nahabiłnii. I am Cochiti, Zuni, & Navajo and I was born & raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
My family is from Hogback, New Mexico. My mother, Linda Ramirez-Weahkee is a painter who is prolific in her color theory, and influences me greatly. My Dad, Sonny Weahkee dabbled in digital design, silversmithing, and other mediums before becoming known for Community Organizing & leadership within Native American communities. Both of my parents and their ancestors guide me daily.
